On October 20, Prahoro Yulijanto Nurtjahyo, Head of the Human Resources Development Agency of the Indonesian Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, led a delegation to visit the CNGR Ningxiang Industrial Site for discussions. Liu Yi, Assistant to the President of CNGR, and other relevant leaders received the delegation. Both parties signed a “Memorandum of Understanding” for future cooperation and held in-depth discussions on cross-border energy and mineral industry cooperation, talent development, and more.

At the CNGR Science and Technology Museum, Prahoro Yulijanto Nurtjahyo and his delegation learned about CNGR’s development history, global industrial layout, industrial recycling system, and production and research and development system. Liu Yi introduced that CNGR products have comprehensively covered the 10 billion-yuan 3C digital market, the 100 billion-yuan electric vehicle market, and the trillion-yuan energy storage market. Liu mentioned that the manufacture of new energy materials cannot be separated from mineral resources, and Indonesia, as a major country in energy and mineral resources, is a very important strategic partner for CNGR.

When informed that the recent CNGR Music Festival finals were won by an Indonesian employee, and that Indonesian employees would also participate in the upcoming CNGR Sports Games, Prahoro Yulijanto Nurtjahyo was delighted and expressed full appreciation for CNGR’s efforts to promote cultural integration and provide a platform for the development of Indonesian employees.

Later, the delegation visited CNGR’s global research and development center and materials production workshop, where they conducted a field inspection of CNGR’s research and production. Liu Yi stated that as a globalized new energy company, CNGR pays great attention to green and sustainable development. The company has set a “4050 carbon goal,” continuously increasing the proportion of green energy used. By building an industry-leading water recycling system, the water resource reuse rate of its core products can reach more than 99%. At the same time, CNGR is the first in the world to industrialize the use of Oxygen Enriched Side Blown Furnace (OESBF) technology to smelt laterite nickel ore, making it an outstanding model for low-carbon technology innovation in the industry.

During the meeting, Prahoro Yulijanto Nurtjahyo mentioned that as the Ministry who responsible for formulating policies related to Indonesia’s energy and mineral resources, it was a rare opportunity to visit a globally integrated new energy company like CNGR. He looked forward to establishing more connections with CNGR in resource-efficient mining, good mining practices, technical talent development, and cross-border scientific research cooperation.

Liu Yi noted that under the Belt and Road Initiative, China and Indonesia have been developing in friendship for many years. As CNGR’s raw material base and the first stop of its globalization, Indonesia holds significant importance for CNGR’s development. CNGR hopes to contribute to Indonesia’s energy and mineral industry’s prosperity, technological advancement, and talent cultivation. It also aims to establish broad and deep connections with the Indonesian Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources in more mineral resources and high-end industries, jointly promoting the development of Indonesia’s energy and mineral industries, and writing a new chapter in friendly exchanges between China and Indonesia.

Witnessed by those present, Liu Yi and Prahoro Yulijanto Nurtjahyo signed the “Memorandum of Understanding” on behalf of CNGR and the Indonesian Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources for further cooperation.
